Shane Talbot, a young member of our design team, recently had this chair prototyped in one of our factories.

Initally crafted in timber and exhibited at Workshopped in 2011, these new versions were produced in both a clear and a black acrylic, and were exhibited at The Edge as part of the Australian International Furniture Fair for 2012.

EDA wishes a Merry Christmas to all and have a great New Year.  Thankyou for your support during 2011.

Australian International Furniture Fair

Congratulations to one of our designers, Shane Talbot - who has had his chair and lamp designs accepted into the The Edge at the Australian Internation Furniture fair.  The chair is made from acrylic and has clear and black variants.  It is in the production category, the lamp is in the concept category.  The exhibition is at the Darling Harbour Convention centre from the 1st to the 3rd February 2012.

Good Luck!

EDA recently visited the Bong Bong races.  The meeting is a six race programme conducted at “Wyeera”, 460 Kangaloon Road, east of Bowral.

We had a great day, lots of sun, great food, drinks and maybe a bit of a flutter.

Thanks to those that made this EDA day out possible, and we hope for a successful visit next year.

UTS ID11 Opening Night

The EDA design and operations team attended the UTS industrial design exhibition opening night on the 29th December.  It was a successful evening with many innovative designs on display.

EDA was the major sponsor of the night, and it was great to talk to lecturers and students about the diverse number of jobs that people with industrial design training hold in the industry.

At EDA we around half our staff have industrial design degrees, and they are in all departments, sales, operations, purchasing and of course, design.

Congratulations to all UTS ID students for a successful night, we wish you all the best for the future.

EDA design team.

EDA Installs Stands into First Masters Store

Woolworths have just opened their first “Masters” hardware store in Braybrook, Victoria and EDA have met the tight launch schedule with major installations for Energizer and HPM Legrand.

The highly prominent battery fixtures, directly in front of the checkouts, are clad with consumer information, to help navigate the batteries category. EDA co-ordinated the project through Energizer Australia.

EDA also supplied a large, illuminated, display unit for HPM Legrand, to merchandise their extensive range of Linea and Arteor light switch solutions.

Another six Masters stores are due to open by Christmas 2011.
